Terms of Service

Agreement

By using imghost ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Simple.

The Service

imghost is an image hosting service. You upload images, we store them, you get links. That's the deal.

We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We'll do our best to keep things running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or that your images will exist forever.

Your Account

You're responsible for your account. Keep your credentials secure. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you're under 18, you should have parental consent.

Acceptable Use

Don't be a jerk. Specifically, don't use imghost to:

  • Host illegal content
  • Store malware or malicious files
  • Upload content that violates others' intellectual property rights
  • Host spam, phishing, or deceptive content
  • Store child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - this will result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Attempt to hack, overload, or abuse our infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to bulk upload content without permission

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion.

Your Content

You own your images. You grant us a license to store, serve, and cache them as necessary to provide the service. We won't sell your images or use them for purposes other than operating the service.

You're responsible for having the rights to upload any content you share. Don't upload content that isn't yours or that you don't have permission to share.

Subscriptions & Payments

imghost offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

Storage Limits

Free accounts have limited storage. Pro accounts have expanded limits. If you exceed your limits, you won't be able to upload new images until you upgrade or delete existing content.

If you downgrade from Pro to Free and exceed Free limits, your existing images will remain but new uploads will be blocked.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can terminate your account if you violate these terms. If we terminate your account:

  • You'll lose access to your stored images
  • We're not obligated to provide refunds for unused subscription time
  • In cases of severe violations, we may report you to appropriate authorities

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, imghost and its operators are not liable for:

  • Lost data or images
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless imghost and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction.
